Our Story
“Three siblings. One hometown. One legacy.”
ORION B+ MENGOME was born from the shared vision of three siblings from Ndjolé — Jean‑Luc Mengome, Judah Alice Mengome, and Armand Ango Mengome — who believed their hometown deserved more than the extractive, unstable, and environmentally harmful mining practices of the past.
They are the grandchildren of the late Pastor Armand Joachim Mengome Ango, a respected spiritual leader whose life was defined by service, integrity, and community upliftment.
His legacy became the foundation of their mission.
Jean‑Luc Mengome — The Strategist
Expert in corporate implantation across Africa
Jean‑Luc spent years helping companies establish themselves across the continent.
He understood:
• how to structure a business properly
• how to navigate African regulatory environments
• how to build partnerships with governments and investors
• how to create systems that last
His expertise became the backbone of ORION B+ MENGOME's governance, compliance, and long‑term strategy.
Judah Alice Mengome — The Visionary
Entrepreneur, green‑energy advocate, and ESG‑driven leader
Judah brought a different kind of fire — a belief that mining can be clean, ethical, and community‑centered.
Her passion for:
• renewable energy
• environmental protection
• women’s empowerment
• community development
• transparent, traceable supply chains
shaped the company’s identity.
She became the architect of ORION B+ MENGOME’s ESG vision and its commitment to zero‑mercury, responsible gold.
Armand Ango Mengome — The Insider
Former independent artisanal miner from Ndjolé
Armand lived the artisanal mining reality.
He knew:
• the challenges miners face
• the dangers of mercury
• the instability of informal mining
• the lack of support for local workers
• the potential hidden beneath the soil of Ndjolé
His experience grounded the company in truth.
He ensured ORION B+ MENGOME would never forget the people at the heart of the industry.
A Shared Decision: Invest in Ndjolé
The three siblings made a bold choice:
to invest in their hometown and build a mining company that protects the land, empowers the people, and honors their grandfather’s legacy.
They envisioned:
• a clean, modern, zero‑mercury gold industry
• a fully traceable supply chain
• jobs for local youth and women
• community infrastructure (clinic, library, technical high school)
• solar‑powered development
• water protection and environmental stewardship
• a stable, transparent, ethical business model
This was not just a company.
It was a commitment to Ndjolé’s future.
The Mengome Family Office — A New Economic Engine for Ndjolé
To support this vision, the siblings expanded their mission through the Mengome Family Office, designed to:
• create environmentally friendly businesses
• diversify the Ndjolé economy
• attract responsible investment
• build local capacity
• generate dignified employment
• support education and youth development
• protect forests, rivers, and biodiversity
Their goal is simple:
to turn Ndjolé into a model of sustainable, community‑driven economic growth.
A Legacy Reborn
Pastor Armand Joachim Mengome Ango taught his family that leadership means service.
His grandchildren transformed that lesson into action.
Today, ORION B+ MENGOME stands as a symbol of:
• responsible African entrepreneurship
• community‑centered development
• environmental protection
• ethical gold production
• and a new generation of Gabonese leadership
This is the story of the founders.
A story of roots, responsibility, and renewal.
A story that begins in Ndjolé — and is now shaping the future of responsible mining in Africa.
